Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Hey there, I’m Tom— the guy who runs sbiterminsurance.com. I’m just a regular SBI Life Insurance customer who started this blog to share my real experiences with term plans like eShield Next. No fancy company, no hidden agendas, just me typing out what I’ve been through to help folks like you who are trying to figure out this insurance stuff.
This Privacy Policy is me being straight-up about what happens when you visit my blog. I’m not here to sneakily grab your data or spam you with ads. I want you to feel safe reading my posts, so here’s the deal in my own words.
🙋♂️ What Personal Info Do I Collect?
Honestly, I don’t collect much of anything myself. This blog isn’t some data-hungry machine. I don’t ask for your phone number, address, or bank details. The only times I might see something from you are:
- Comments: If you leave a comment on a post, I’ll see whatever name and email you choose to share. That’s just how Blogger works. I don’t store it in some big database or sell it to anyone.
- Contact Form: If you send me a message through the contact form, I’ll see whatever you type (like your name or email). I just use it to reply to you and then move on.
That’s it. I’m not building a secret list or passing your info to anyone. This blog is just me sharing my SBI Life journey, not playing marketing games.
🍪 Cookies (Not the Tasty Kind)
Since this blog runs on Google’s Blogger platform, it might use cookies automatically. Those are little bits of code that do things like:
- Track how many people visit (like “50 people read this post today”).
- Show where readers are from (like “someone in Mumbai clicked this”).
- Help with ads if I ever turn them on (more on that below).
These cookies don’t tell me your name, number, or personal details. It’s just boring stats stuff. If you don’t like cookies, you can block them in your browser settings — no pressure, totally your call.
🧑💻 Ads and Google AdSense
Right now, my blog might not have ads. I’m just focused on writing. But down the line, I might sign up for Google AdSense to cover some costs for the time I spend on this. If that happens:
- You might see ads on the blog, served by Google.
- Google might use cookies to show you ads based on what you’ve looked at online (like those “personalized ads” you see everywhere).
- I don’t pick the ads or see your personal data. Google handles all that.
If you want to control or opt out of personalized ads, you can tweak your settings here: Google Ad Settings. I’m not in the business of chasing you with creepy ads, I promise.
🔗 Links to Other Sites
Sometimes I link to stuff that helped me, like:
- SBI Life’s official website for policy details or FAQs.
- IRDAI or RBI pages for general insurance info.
- A blog, video, or forum post I found useful as a policyholder.
Once you click those links and leave my blog, you’re on their turf, and their privacy rules apply. I don’t control what those sites do, so be careful about sharing personal info elsewhere.
🔐 How I Keep Things Secure
This blog lives on Google’s Blogger platform, so all the techy security stuff (like protecting the site from hackers) is handled by Google. I don’t have my own servers or store sensitive data myself. Still, a few tips:
- Don’t share super personal info (like your policy number) in comments or forms.
- Watch out for weird links on any site (not just mine).
- If something on my blog looks off or suspicious, please tell me via the contact form.
I’m doing my best to keep this a safe space to read about insurance, but the internet’s the internet, you know?
🔁 Changes to This Policy
I might tweak this Privacy Policy later if something changes — like if I add ads, a new contact form, or some other feature. But I’ll always keep it in my voice, simple and honest, so you don’t need a lawyer to understand it. If I make big changes, I’ll try to flag them on the blog.
📩 Got Questions? Reach Out
If you’re wondering about something on the blog, want me to remove a comment, or just want to chat about SBI Life’s term plans, hit me up. Use the contact form or drop a comment on any post. It’s just me checking those — no bots, no team, just Mahesh, the guy who bought a term plan and decided to write about it.
Thanks for reading my blog and trusting me to share my story. I’m here to make term insurance a little less confusing, not add to the mess.
